ROBERT E. DANIELSON, ESQ.

In 1994, after 10 years of practicing with large law firms in New York and Massachusetts, Robert left the bright lights of the city for the cobblestone streets of Portland, Maine. Having family in Maine it was a natural place for work/life balance.

Since the beginning, Attorney Daneielson’s intention has been to provide personalized concierge legal services to the good people of Maine. Having his own practice has allowed him to be hands-on with his clients’ matters and to charge significantly less than big-city firms.

Early in his career, Robert gained experience in many areas of law including bankruptcies and foreclosures, but quickly became disillusioned with processes that often resulted in winners and losers. His work is now centered around matters that lead to positive outcomes for all parties involved. Over the years, he’s compiled a team of very smart, hard-working individuals who aid in supporting clients with small business organizational and succession planning (including conveyancing, corporate law, contracts, commercial finance, probate, wills, etc.) as well as trusts and estate administration. They also have extensive experience in real estate, land use, title, leasing and zoning law.

Attorney Danielson is also principal and president of Old Port Title, an independent title company serving commercial and residential clients throughout Maine, and he enjoys frequently lecturing on issues of estate planning, land use and real estate.

EDUCATION AND CHARITY WORK

Robert Danielson graduated from Boston College, cum laude, in 1980, and received his juris doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, New York, New York in 1983. He is a member in good standing of the New York, Massachusetts, and Maine State Bars.

Outside of work, he has found great joy in giving back to our community.

He’s a member of the Maine Estate Planning Council, the Maine Title Bar, and the Mercy Hospital Planned Giving Committee.

He has served as president of the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust and president of the Maine Philanthropy Center, which acts as the clearing house for all grant makers and donor recipients. It was wonderfully satisfying to provide a service that united the grant makers and grant receivers to allow for more philanthropic dollars to flow through the state of Maine.

For the past six years, Attorney Danielson has served on the board, including as chair for the past 2 years, of the Piper Shores Continuing Care Retirement Community, which has allowed him to set policy for the residents and has led to many wonderful friendships.

One of the most rewarding aspects of his life has been serving as a Rotarian. Rotary’s motto is ‘service above self’, and he has found his service to the community to be most gratifying.

LYNN MISTRETTA, ESQ.

She also represents various banks, lending institutions, and borrowers in the negotiation and implementation of the most complex asset-based and real estate loan transactions.

A significant portion of Lynn’s practice includes representing various clients in general aviation law as well. She handles purchases and sales of aircraft, ACMI and Dry Lease agreements, and FAR Part 91 and 135 issues.

Lynn is general counsel to several small and mid-sized companies. She acts as point-person for all legal needs of her clients, and coordinates with other attorneys in the firm and outside the firm on all manner of issues.
