Melinda P. Shain, Esq.
Ms. Shain was first admitted to practice law in 1998 in Maine. After a clerkship with the Superior Court in Kennebec County Maine, Ms. Shain began working as a real estate development manager for a major retailer. While working in the corporate environment she focused primarily on negotiating leases and purchases, and was often the lead corporate representative on permitting efforts in communities across New England and in the state of New York. She worked on matters involving major real estate developers, municipalities, property owners, and community members. She joined the Law Offices of Robert E. Danielson in January 2009 and now practices primarily in the areas of real estate and corporate law including land use, title, leasing, zoning, contracts and commercial finance. Ms. Shain also serves of counsel to Old Port Title.
Ms. Shain graduated from Florida State University magna cum laude in 1994 and received her juris doctor from University of Maine School of Law in 1998, graduating cum laude.
Ms. Shain serves as a member of the Maine Title Bar and the Women’s Section of the Maine State Bar Association. She serves on the board of the Maine Women’s Fund and on the Gorham Zoning Board of Appeals. She served as the Corporate Chairperson of Hannaford Bros. Co.’s 2008 United Way Campaign and on the board of the Gorham Educational Foundation. She is a member in good standing of the Maine State Bar.
